I am an interdisciplinary artist living and working in New York. I work mostly with hand built ceramic sculptures, and am interested in using various materials in my work. Starting out as an illustrator in New York, I earned my BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). I am interested in experimenting with different materials and processes and what they lead me to discover in my art practice. My sculptures often are intuitive, and create tension between forms and surface treatment. Inspirations include aquatic microorganisms, colors, and animated forms.
I currently work in my studio at 122 Central Ave Brooklyn, NY. Studio visits by appointment only.
