I am an interdisciplinary artist living in NYC. I work mostly with hand built ceramic sculptures, but dabble in glassblowing, throwing, drawing and painting as well. Starting out as an illustrator in NYC, I moved to Chicago, IL to earn my Bachelor's of Fine Art (BFA) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). I am interested in experimenting with different materials and processes and what they lead me to discover in my art practice. My sculptures often are intuitive, and create tension between forms and surface treatment. Inspirations include Hayao Miyazaki, aquatic microorganisms, cacti, Ernst Hackel, bright colors and funky animated forms.
I also run an Etsy shop which have my illustrations, stickers, prints, and pottery.
I can be reached by email: firstname.lastname@example.org for inquiries.
